Title winners and losers; careers starting and ending; more shows; local derbies; knockouts and points winners – we’ve seen it all in the North East this year. Here John Hannen catches up with some of the players from the region to find out their highlights from 2012, and their dreams for 2013.
Steve Wraith has added Mark Clauzel to his Wraith Promotions bill on Saturday 24th November at the O2 Academy in Newcastle. Clauzel who last boxed at July’s ’Summer Rumble’ in Sunderland will be contesting a six rounder and is pleased to be boxing in front of a home crowd at last.

Switch-hitter Mark Clauzel is loving being a fighter again. The Newcastle light-middleweight made his pro debut back in 2009 before suffering a serious hand injury. Now fully recovered, Mark has had three fights in 2011 and is 4-0 (2) after stopping Andy Hardy at the Peterlee Leisure Centre on December 10.
